Sorrento, Amalfi Coast & Apulia
Family Holiday | Food and wine | Active Vacation | Culture Immersion | Small Group JourneyAccommodation: Signature hotels
Availability: January To December
Experience the relaxed, slow-paced life of Southern Italy by spending a week on the idyllic sun-drenched Amalfi Coast. Boasting breathtaking panoramas of plunging cliffs and views out to the Tyrrhenian Sea, it’s the perfect place to get a taste of Mediterranean food, history, and culture. Boat off to the fashionable Isle of Capri (renowned for welcoming many celebrities and designer shops, but also for its dazzling Blue Grotto) and peruse the sun-kissed lemon groves of Amalfi, before heading across the border into the neighbouring region of Apulia, which is equally famed for its awe-inspiring coast line. Here you will be able to explore its multifaceted towns, from Alberobello (which is known for its whitewashed stone huts with conical roofs) to Lecce (“The Florence of the South” with its Baroque architecture and sunken Roman amphitheatre) Gallipoli (once a bloody WW1 battlefield but now one of the prettiest towns of the area) to Matera (part of the Sassi district, which boasts various cave dwellings carved into the rocky mountainside).
